Portland International Cat Show

It started with this instagram photo. Katie commented that this cats eyebrows looked like mine! Hmm. Can I meet this cat? Well, then Katie gets the idea that we should go to the show! I packed my 200mm zoom lens and off we go!

It took a while to find this cat. He was number 309 in the Persian section. Me and Katie both cast our peoples choice ballots for him!

What a crazy scene! Cat people are truly crazy! It made me feel a little more normal to be around them. Among my own kind I guess?

The above photo is of a cat that is a half breed between a tabby and a bobcat! I'd never seen such a thing before!

Lyle and Arlene collect their cats hair and knit hats and scarves out of it. I too have been saving my cats hair with this idea in mind, and I probably have just about enough to make a scarf. They operate a cat knitting information booth in Lincoln City at the weekly Community Center get togethers. I'll have to go down there to learn the tricks of knitting with cat hair.

Here is a picture of their cat wearing a hat made from his own hair.

It was a smorgasbord of cuteness all around!
